Introducing Hunter Alex

We welcomed Hunter Alex into this world on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 10:04 am.  He weighed 8 lbs and measured 20 1/2 inches long. His Apgar score was a 9 both times - nice strong little guy!  Everyone is doing well.

Happy 8th Anniversary and 38 1/2 weeks!

We celebrated our 8th anniversary with a lovely luncheon at Lightfoot and then did some shopping.  Wyatt spent the afternoon with Cathy, Kayla and Vivian.

Our family of 3, soon to be 4!

Easter 2012 (April)

We got to spend Easter at our home with Grandma and Pappy Brown and Aunt Cassie.  It was a beautiful day and so much fun to watch Wyatt hunt for eggs.

The Easter bunny dropped a few things at our house.

Spring 2012 (Wyatt's 15 months old)

Wyatt is 15 months old in March!  He is getting so big and growing.  He is still in the 95-98% range for height and weight.  His vocabulary is growing - new words include - nigh-night, dog-dog (which sounds more like gog-gog), Momma, Dadda, this, that, Lola (used to describe both our of cats - Lola and Oscar), more (which sounds more like mah or more with an accent!), pizza (which sounds more like pi-zzah) and yes (with a distinct head nod).  And the "no's" are starting to come....He continues to use sign language for please, thank you, more, eat, and milk.  He also communicates very clearly when he is still hungry and knows exactly where his favorite snacks are located in the pantry.  He still loves fruit and rarely turns down the opportunity for a snack.  He loves to run and gallop around and keeps us cracking up.  Elmo videos are still cool and fun to watch.  He loves to read books.  He enjoys going to the pool with Mom and Dad and splashing and kicking around.  He would much rather be hanging out outside, and most evenings you can find him hanging out on our Juliette balcony searching the street for our neighbors walking their dogs.

Here are some pictures of us from our March visit to Phoenix.  We were also there to meet Wyatt's cousin Beckett.  Unfortunately, I got very sick with a sinus infection, bronchitis and an eye infection!  And Wyatt got his first ear infection.  But despite being sick, we both enjoyed our visit.  While we were in Phoenix, Wyatt learned that Wrigley, my parents not-so-minature beagle, can be very naughty.  He learned to shake his finger at him to tell him no-no and that the squirt bottle can also be shaken at him to scold him.

Wyatt's Big Reveal

We gave Wyatt the honors to tell our families about the exciting news that he is going to be a BIG BROTHER!  It has been a hoot trying to just get everyone to read the t-shirt...for some reason no one would read the whole shirt...

We are due June 5th and we get to find out on January 9th if it will be a boy or a girl.  We are just hoping for a healthy one!  A wonderful Christmas gift to all!
