Wyatt is 2 weeks old!

Wyatt is now 2 weeks old and growing.  At our 2-week check-up with the pediatrician yesterday, Wyatt was measuring 21 3/4 inches long, and 8 lbs 11 oz. - a growth of about a 1/4 of an inch in length and 8 ozs more than at birth.  He is a big eater!  He is very strong and definitely is getting good at holding his head up.  He makes some of the funniest faces and noises and we certainly find him quite entertaining.

2010 was a great year for us as we are now blessed with Wyatt.  We look forward to a fantastic 2011 and all of the new life adventures we are about to encounter as parents!  We wish you all the best in 2011.

Hanging with Wyatt

We have had a busy first 12 days with Wyatt.  Wyatt is doing well and is a good sleeper!  We have had 6 hours of continuous sleep for the last three nights!  Yahoo!  Mom and Dad are very grateful! Wyatt is also a big eater.  We have our 2-week check-up tomorrow so we will find out just how much he has grown!  We can hardly believe that he is almost two weeks old - boy time is flying! Dad has ensured that he has been introduced to Sunday football and right now Wyatt is watching the AZ Wildcats play in the Alamo Bowl. Bear down! Wyatt also celebrated his first Christmas. The Brown's joined us at our home.  Besides meeting his parents, Wyatt has also met both sets of grandparents, one of his great aunts, two of his aunts, second cousins, and many new friends.  Here are a few pictures.

Wyatt comes home

Wyatt came home on Sunday, December 19th with Mom, Dad, Poppa and Grandma Andie.  We were all happy to be heading home!  Wyatt's blood work was improved enough for the pediatrician to release us.  We had a great supportive staff at the hospital.  Also Wyatt was delivered by a UofA med doc, Dr. Damon Hou, so Wyatt is destined to be a Wildcat just like his Mom and Dad!  He has some darling Wildcat gear to sport in several months.

Baby B should be here tomorrow

Baby B has decided that the extreme cold weather is not really his thing and that he is nice and cozy inside (the cold weather is not his parent's thing either!)  However, our doctor has decided it is time for him to arrive.  Aaron and I go to the hospital tonight to start the induction process and he should be here tomorrow.  Stand by for his arrival...

The Wait for Baby B's arrival continues

So the doctor's due date of December 5th has now come and gone...and we patiently (well not really) wait for him to arrive.  Baby B passed the non-stress test this morning and seems quite content.  However, plan B is in place - if he does not show up by the evening of the 15th on his own, we will be going in for a induction.  I keep reassuring him that although it is brrr chilly outside, we promise to keep him warm.  Come on Baby B we are ready to meet you!

The nursery is all ready and so are we!

Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Brown and Great Aunt Lisa for coming over today.  We hung the curtains that Grandma Patti made and are all set and ready for Baby B to arrive.  The car seat is in and Momma's hospital bags are packed.  We are ready, well at least as prepared as we can be!

Decorating the Baby's Room - A Family & Friends Project

At the beginning of October, Aunt Cassie and Grandma TBD Patti came over and painted Baby B's nursery.  They did an awesome job, which would not have been possible without the outstanding supervision of Julia.  Oscar also offered his assistance with ensuring that we had sufficient supervision. Aaron and Grandpa Mike B. put together the rocker/glider for the room.  It will soon be Alexis' new favorite chair!

Today, Cathy, Kayla and Vivian came over to help us continue to decorate Baby B's room.  Cathy, Kayla and Alexis put up the decals - a tree and 10 elephants.  While Vivian entertained Aaron!  They were a huge help and it really added a lot to the room!  This is one lucky little guy!

We still have a few finishing touches to do before we post the final room pics, but you can enjoy these in the meantime.

5 weeks and counting...

It is hard to believe that the Little Guy is due in just under 5 weeks.  Mom and Dad have been busy getting everything ready for his arrival.
