Wyatt's Big Reveal

We gave Wyatt the honors to tell our families about the exciting news that he is going to be a BIG BROTHER!  It has been a hoot trying to just get everyone to read the t-shirt...for some reason no one would read the whole shirt...

We are due June 5th and we get to find out on January 9th if it will be a boy or a girl.  We are just hoping for a healthy one!  A wonderful Christmas gift to all!

Wyatt' 1st birthday celebration in Phoenix!

Grandma Andie and Poppa also wanted to celebrate Wyatt's first birthday and had a small family gathering to celebrate.  Despite a long day of traveling, Wyatt was still in full birthday mode and loved celebrating with everyone.  He got his very own "I am one" monkey cake which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Yum!  This is delicious!
GG was pushing Wyatt in the new little car she got for him!  It was a big hit!

Wyatt Celebrates the Big 1!

Oh my goodness, where has the year gone!  It has been so much fun to watch Wyatt grow and learn over the last year.  At his one year checkup he was in the 95-98% for both height and weight (31 1/2 in tall and 27.8 lbs) he has grown 10 inches and gained 19 lbs this year!  The doctor said he was acting and looking more like a 15-month old.  He can say 4 words (Dadda, Momma, This and That) and sign "please."  He has 10 teeth, loves to feed himself and can walk/run all over the place.  He loves to point to things and be told what it is.  He loves to put the cap on his bottle or sippie cup.  He loves to play with his toys and loves to watch his Wild, Wild West Elmo video.

On Wyatt's actual birthday, December 17th, we had a Zoo Animal themed birthday party with family and friends at our home.  Wyatt was a bit overwhelmed by all of the people and attention, but did eventually warm up to everyone.  He LOVED his cupcake and ate the whole thing!

Wyatt's 1st Thanksgiving!

Wyatt loved his first Thanksgiving dinner!  We celebrated it here at home with Grandma Patti and Pappy.  We had a relaxing day and enjoyed the nice weather.  Wyatt loves to see his reflection in the glass.  We are all thankful for the blessing of Wyatt in our lives.  He is such a lovable little guy and funny too.  Over the weekend, we also visited the Luray Zoo and Wyatt enjoyed seeing some new animals.

Fall 2011

In mid October, our family went to Great Country Farms in Bluemont, VA for Wyatt's first Fall festival and pumpkin patch.  Wyatt got to check out a pig race and enjoyed picking out a few pumpkins.  However, I think he enjoyed picking at the dirt and twigs on the ground more than the pumpkin picking.

Wyatt went to the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy's National Air and Space Museum annual Air and Scare event on 10/29 with our good friends Cathy and Vivian Henniger.  Wyatt was excited to also see the snow fall too!

Then of course, Wyatt got to celebrate his first Halloween as a spider!
