Wyatt at 9 months old (September 2011)!

Wyatt had a busy summer.  In July, Wyatt got to see lots of family and friends.  It started off with celebrating the 4th at the Henniger's 3rd of July pool party.  Wyatt then went to Aunt Cassie and Julia's place for a BBQ and pool party in mid-July.  In late July, Wyatt took his 3rd trip out to Arizona to celebrate Grandma Andie and Poppa's 40th wedding anniversary.  He got to visit with some of Mommy's friends too.  Then, in early August, Aunt Chelsea came for a visit.  We got to take him on his first visit to the beach in Rehoboth, Delaware.  He was not digging the water hitting his legs, but enjoyed playing in the sand.  He also got to see Grandma Patti and Pappy during their transition to their home in State College, PA.  Wyatt and Momma also met the Fogarty's in Roanoke, VA for a weekend visit (our best effort at a decent midpoint between our two homes).  We loved meeting baby Caroline and seeing how big Claire has gotten. Over Labor Day weekend, Grandma Andie and Poppa came to visit.  We took a road trip down to Charlottesville to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

On September 17th, Wyatt's 9 month birthday, he took his first two steps to Momma.  So exciting!  Wyatt even caught cold and was fighting it off with a fever so you will see that he is not looking like his normal chipper self.

Despite, not feeling well, this picture was taken just after Wyatt took his first two steps on 9/17/11.

Loves to push the dinosaur around while learning to walk!

In August, Aunt Chelsea came for a visit and we took Wyatt for his first trip to the beach (Rehoboth,  Delaware).

Wyatt at 6 months old (June 2011)!

Wyatt was a busy boy by 6 months old.  He was already crawling all over the place and very active.  He was also good at standing up!  He also got his first 2 bottom teeth at this time.  He was also enjoying trying out some solid food (rice cereal, avocado, bananas were among the favorites!)

I'm back!

Ok - so I am taking over this blog!  As you can see from the posts - my mom has been quite busy since she went back to work full time back in mid March, so I figured it was up to me to share with you all of the really cool things I have been up to.  - Love, Wyatt

3 months already!

We can hardly believe that Wyatt is now 3 months old.  Time has just flown by.  He is such a sweet boy and a joy to be around.  We are loving being parents to Wyatt.

Fun facts of being a 3 month old:
grab his left toes, laughs, gummy smiles, loves to sit up, strong legs and loves to stand on mommy's lap, growing big, loves his baths, likes to suck on his right hand, loves tummy time, folds his hands by his face, tries to sit up, and is a squirmy worm

Hangin' with Aunt Chelsea

Wyatt got the pleasure of week long visit from Aunt Chelsea.  We enjoyed having her here and appreciated her help!
They watched t.v. together...
they napped together...

Meeting some new people

Recently, Wyatt got to meet some of mommies friends.  Here he is with Anadee and Tracy.

Wyatt's first cold

So we have all been hit with the sick bug.  First, Alexis came down with a cold and sinus infection which has dragged on for 3 weeks now....Second, Wyatt came down with his first cold.  You feel so bad for the little one who has no idea why they feel bad, has a stuffy nose, coughs and their voice is hoarse.  Lastly, Aaron has come down with the crud too and is on his way to the doctor now!  We are just hoping that Aunt Chelsea doesn't get it while she is here visiting us.  Although Wyatt is not feeling well, he still enjoys spending time on his playmat.  At Wyatt's doctor visit on March 1st he weighed 16 lbs, 4 oz.  Boy, he just continues to grow!

9 weeks old and Wyatt's 2 month doctor visit

Late last week we went for the dreaded two month doctor visit.  Both Mom and Wyatt suffered through him getting some shots.  ugh!  But for the fun news.  Wyatt is in the 98%percentile for a 2-month old baby - he is 24 1/4 inches long and is 15 lbs 8 oz! And as you can see in the pictures Wyatt has got some cheeks!

So now that Wyatt's neck is strong we thought we would have him try sitting in his Bumbo seat.  A Bumbo seat allows a baby to sit upright without any help once they are able to hold their head on their own.  As you can see below, Wyatt's thighs got stuck in it!

Wyatt is 2 months old!

It is hard to believe that 2 months time has passed! Time has flown by for sure!  Wyatt continues to grow and develop.  He now cooing responds back to you by looking directly at you, cooing, smiling or laughing.  So much fun to watch him and hear what he has to say.  Wyatt, Aaron and I enjoyed being at Grandma and Poppa's house and appreciated everyone's help!  Below are some 2 month pictures of Wyatt taken with several generations (Wyatt, Mom, Aunt Chelsea, Grandma Andie and GG).  Aaron is not in the pictures because he had already returned to Virginia.

Wyatt's latest adventures

So it has been some time since our last post.  Here is what Wyatt has been up to over the last month:

Week 5: Wyatt started to grab onto things -- like the shirt of the person holding him or mom's hair!  He has also followed people's movements with both his eyes and head.  He still loves to be cuddled and held; he's our little snuggle bug.  He has started to enjoy his bath time too.

Week 6: Wyatt has started to smile for us!  What a wonderful reward!  His hair has also started to sprout up some noticeable new growth as well as starting to grow some eyebrows.  He continues to get bigger and stronger too! His neck is getting stronger and he can hold his head on his own for a few minutes before he needs a break. He enjoys spending tummy time on his playmat. On February 3rd Wyatt took his first airplane ride from Baltimore (BWI) to Phoenix (PHX).  He was a fabulous traveler and barely made a peep! Whew!

Week 7:  Wyatt finally got to meet his Aunt Chelsea and Great Grandma (GG) as well as lots of family and friends.  Grandma Andie and Poppa were so excited to share Wyatt that they held an open house to acquaint him with family friends and to celebrate Poppa's 65th birthday. He also got to enjoy walks in the Phoenix sunshine too!  Wyatt is also getting very good at maintaining eye contact and following that persons movements.
